Those who visit Salzburg now not only enter a stage for countless cultural events, lovingly fostered tradition and living customs. And now one of the largest attractions during the Advent season has also opened its doors: Salzburg’s Christmas market, mentioned as far back as the 15th century, located at the foot of the Hohensalzburg fortress and around the venerable cathedral of Salzburg.

What is where at Salzburg’s Christmas market?

The range of merchandise offered by the 85 exhibitors is divided into six sections which are color-coded:
